Too much material is lost when composite and natural stone are processed. Or rather, it used to be. Through our new ReSurfacing process, Diresco now transforms this stone waste into entirely new composite slabs of the highest quality. A win for every stakeholder in the value chain.
ReSurfacing
From stone waste to premium composite slabs

A circular process in 5 steps
From logistics to the production of recycled composite material, Diresco replaces the traditional waste stream with a circular production process that gives stone waste a valuable second life.
-
Step 1
We deliver the containers
Once we have reviewed the waste guidelines and practical arrangements with the stone fabricator, we place two containers at their site. -
Step 2
Quick and easy sorting
The stone processor sorts its composite and natural stone waste into separate containers. This creates a more economically attractive alternative for waste management. What is your stone waste worth? -
Step 3
We collect the containers
Are the containers full? We arrange collection and return them once they have been emptied. This allows us to avoid empty or half-empty transport runs. -
Step 4
From waste to new raw material
We have the collected stone waste processed into fine granules. This creates a usable raw material that we reintroduce into our production process. Most of the new finished product will consist of recycled material. -
Step 5
New slab material with the Diresco quality seal
Our modern production process, combined with our in-house Sublime technology, produces a premium recycled material: a brand-new composite slab with the quality Diresco is known for.

Frequently asked questions
Which materials can go into the containers?
The containers are intended for the composite and natural stone waste agreed in advance. Ceramics and other foreign materials are not permitted, as they could disrupt the recycling process. Before you start, you will receive clear guidelines listing all accepted material types.
Do I need to sort composite and natural stone separately?
No, this is not necessary under the current approach. White composite is kept separate from the other permitted colours. Diresco will provide clear sorting guidelines in advance, so you know exactly which material belongs in each container.
What happens if the waste is sorted incorrectly?
Contaminated or incorrectly sorted material may not be suitable for processing and may therefore be refused. That’s why you will receive clear sorting instructions in advance. If you are unsure, you can always contact us before placing the material in the container.
What do I need to do as a stone fabricator?
You provide space for the containers and sort the processing waste according to the agreed guidelines. Diresco takes care of the practical organisation of the containers and collection, and coordinates the planning directly with you.
Does a recycled slab offer the same quality as a completely new slab?
Thanks to our Sublime technology, we can visually conceal imperfections by applying an ultra-thin sublimation layer. What’s more, this layer can be applied in virtually any design. The end result is a high-quality composite slab, exactly as you would expect from Diresco.
